Madeleine Lieblein Kasof

Madeleine passed away peacefully at home, April 30, 2022 surrounded by family, just weeks after receiving a diagnosis of a very rare Lymphoma.

Madeleine was born in Brooklyn, NY.

She graduated from Far Rockaway High School in 1956, from Cortland State College in 1960, and still kept treasured friendships all these years across the miles.

Teaching was her gift. The majority of her career was as an elementary school teacher in the Cupertino Union School District. Every child was important to her, and she got such a chuckle out of the candid things her students would say.

Years later in retirement, all the unplanned encounters and run-ins with former students and their parents, sharing stories together, truly filled her heart with joy.

Her Mah Jongg, Bridge and AAUW groups kept her social calendar full spending time with dear friends.

A private service was held at her final resting place, Los Gatos Memorial Park.

She is greatly loved, and deeply missed.
